Transfer Pricing - One Challenge, Three Perspectives: Accounting, Taxes, Business

01 October 2025
The 7th panel moderated at this year's MKBR served to discuss important issues, including how to establish market prices in transactions between related entities and how to recognise the documentation obligation.

These issues were widely discussed by the guests invited to the debate - Marta Klepacz, MDDP Partner, Agata Zielińska, Finance Manager, Flowbird Polska and Flowbird Tech and Rafał Małecki, Manager at MDDP Outsourcing.

The 7th moderated panel was divided into three thematic parts.  The first one is when experts answered the question: "Why is transfer pricing an important topic for accounting offices and their clients?". The second part discussed: the impact of transfer pricing on transaction terms. The conclusions regarding this were left for the very end, specifically on how to develop an effective model of cooperation among accounting, taxes, and business.

The guests shared not only theoretical knowledge, but above all that resulting from experience and practice in their professions.  There were references to individual perspectives and the expectations associated with them, as well as many case studies that provided the meeting participants with a good illustration of the topics discussed by the experts.

The conclusions from the conversation turned out to be extremely important all speakers agreed that a key issue in the context of cooperation between accounting, tax and business teams is transparent, open communication, which influences the understanding of the goals, needs and roles of individual people in the process. Other essential factors indicated by guests remain technology, knowledge and investment in human resources.
