17 March 2026
The EKOTECH 2026 Environmental Protection and Waste Management Expo is granted the auspices of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management – an institution that has been playing a key role in financing environmental investments in Poland for nearly 37 years. The Fund supports projects related to climate protection, waste management, water management and energy transformation.

The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management has been supporting the development of green investments in Poland for almost 37 years, contributing to improved natural conditions and the quality of life for residents. Together with 16 provincial funds for environmental protection and water management, it creates a coherent system for financing pro-ecological activities nationwide. The institution operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Climate and Environment and actively supports the implementation of the European Union’s environmental goals and national energy and climate policy.

The results of the programs implemented by the Fund are visible in many areas of economic and social life. With the support of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, sewage treatment plants, energy installations, selective waste collection points, retention reservoirs, and zero-emission transport infrastructure, including electric cars and buses, are being built. The Fund also supports activities in the field of environmental education, environmental monitoring and the protection of ecosystems and biodiversity.

The programs financed by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management benefit local governments, enterprises, public institutions, research units, non-governmental organisations, national parks, as well as farmers, energy cooperatives and individuals. For almost four decades of its activity, the Fund has allocated nearly PLN 100 million of domestic and foreign funds to support environmental investments. 160 billion zlotys, enabling the implementation of projects totalling approximately 340 billion zlotys.

The auspices of the National Fund over the EKOTECH fair highlight the importance of the event as a platform for presenting technologies and solutions supporting environmental transformation, waste management and the development of modern municipal infrastructure.
