A concert of sung poetry, competitions with prizes, numerous exhibitions and meetings at the three-day Sacroexpo in Kielce!
From 2 to 4 June, almost 200 exhibitors from 10 countries will take part in the trade fair. Admission - free, prior registration required.
This year's Kielce S is the showcase for over 200 exhibitors from 10 countries from all corners of the world. Including Austria, Croatia, Greece, Spain, Germany, Poland, Slovenia, Ukraine, Hungary and Italy. In addition to devotional articles and Christian merchandise, the fair features board games with religious themes, Catholic books, and pilgrimage packages to the most significant places of worship in Poland and around the world. It also presents modern solutions for parishes and the faithful. These include cemetery management systems, tools for online collections and donations, and the ability to order mass intentions online. The offer also includes applications that enable the faithful to locate Holy Masses, confessionals, and services in the area. There are ample electronic organists with an impressive database of musical pieces, modern heating and ventilation systems, and advanced lighting systems.
20 years of Per Artem Ad Deum and a concert of poetry set to music
The music group from the Land of Gentleness - "U Studni" will perform on the stage of the Targi Kielce Congress Centre on the first day of the Sacroexpo Exhibition, 2 June at 3:00 p.m. The concert will be a complement to the ceremonial gala, presenting medals to this year’s winners of the Per Artem Ad Deum award: Kraków poet Adam Ziemianin and Jedność Publishing House. The band's repertoire includes songs based on lyrics by Adam Ziemianin, as well as original compositions by the band members, featuring a special performance by poet Adam Ziemianin, who will recite his own poems. The Sacroexpo will premiere a volume of poems by Adam Ziemianin, “To tu-to tam.” The volume contains several dozen previously unpublished poems by the author, adorned with his drawings. Those interested will be able to purchase a copy of the volume at the Jedność Publishing expo stand and receive an autograph from the author after the concert.
Art at the heart of the expo
At Sacroexpo, you can see numerous exhibitions of modern religious and spiritual art, which will attract both lovers of art and spirituality. The exhibitions of memorabilia related to Pope Benedict XVI and paintings depicting Papal Madonnas are of particular interest This is a unique opportunity to see how contemporary artists interpret spiritual heritage in a modern form. In the Art Zone you can meet Piotr Barszczowski, Sylwia Perczak, Aleksander Grzybek and Krzysztof Pawłowski. The Drapikowski Studio will present unique works of art, including richly decorated dresses for the Jasna Góra Icon, such as the famous amber and diamond one, as well as monstrances intended for the most critical sanctuaries in the world, including Medjugorje and Fatima. Additionally, the studio will showcase artistic projects that combine traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques.
Competitions and attractions for visitors to the Sacroexpo
Competitions for visitors to the Sacroexpo can win you the latest Catholic books, funded by the largest Polish publishing houses exhibiting at the show. All you have to do is come to the expo centre and answer short questions about religious knowledge. Consecrated persons: nuns and priests can complete a competition task - a quiz in which they can win a pilgrimage to Rome; the competition entrants can win one of the four awards: two for nuns and two for priests. The drawing and awarding ceremony takes place at the expo stand of the Franciscan Tourist and Pilgrimage Office, Patron Travel.
Inspiring meetings at the show
Sacroexpo features inspiring meetings with Father Doctor Michał Chaberek devoted to the relationship between faith and science. An opportunity to reflect on the journey through the life of Jesus will be a conversation with the author of the book “Jesus: The Mystery of Redemption", by Fr. Witold Kawecki, organised on 3 June by Jedność Publishing House. Meet the author session featuring Sebastian Picur on 4 June at the Rafael Publishing House; the life plan according to Carl Acutis, and the meeting on pastoral aid is being organised by Święty Wojciech Publishing House. Visitors to Sacroexpo can utilise the Lenten Scratch Card to discover the secrets of the most renowned Lenten spiritual exercises. Caritas – the largest Polish humanitarian programme offers the Family to Family Program. The expo agenda on 3 June, includes reflections on the liturgy - a conference "The Spirit of the Liturgy is the Spirit of the Church" on the book "The Spirit of the Liturgy" by Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger. The speakers are distinguished figures – theologians and publicists, including Father Dr. Hab. Jan Strumiłowski, Fr. Doctor Wojciech Surówka, Doctor Paweł Milcarek and Fr. Prof. Marek Lis. In the spirit of the liturgy - the conference with elements of the School of Sacristans, organised by the Sisters of St. Jadwiga the Queen, Servant of Christ Present, is scheduled for June 2 and 4. This meeting is addressed to parsons, priests, sacristans, florists, and people involved in preparing the liturgical space.
