Adam Ziemianin and Jedność Publishing Houseawarded the Per Artem Ad Deum Medal. The gala on the first day of the Sacroexpo
Awards of the International Exhibition of Church Construction, Church Fittings and Furnishings and Religious Art SACROEXPO were also presented for the most interesting products and trade fair presentations at this year’s show.
For 20 years, the Per Artem Ad Deum medal has been awarded to artists and institutions whose work bridges the gap between art and spirituality.
This year, the medal was presented to Adam Ziemianin, a poet from Kraków, and also to Jedność Publishing House from Kielce.
Adam Ziemianin is a poet, writer and journalist who has published over 30 volumes of poetry and three volumes of prose; over the years, his poetry has become intertwined with song, shaping such significant events as the Bieszczadzkie Anioły festival; it has been sung by, among others, Stare Dobre Małżeństwo, Elżbieta Adamiak, and the U studni band. He was awarded for his work that intertwines the sacred and spiritual depth with everyday life.
For its long-standing contribution to evangelisation and educating successive generations in the spirit of Christian values, the Jedność Publishing House was awarded – Jedność Publishing House one of the oldest Catholic publishing houses in Poland, whose history dates back to 1918. The publishing house collaborates with the renowned German publishing house Herder, which publishes recognised theological works, including those by Joseph Ratzinger.
The Per Artem Ad Deum Medal is a prestigious award that has been presented to a select group of outstanding creators to date. The first winner of the medal was the “Furdyna” Stained Glass Studio from Kraków. The laureate's milieu has included: stage designer and theatre director Professor Leszek Mądzik, director and screenwriter Professor Krzysztof Zanussi, Czech Catholic priest, philosopher and psychologist Professor Tomáš Halík, sculptor, medallist and designer of sacred spaces Professor Wincenty Kućma. The Per Artem Ad Deum medal was also awarded to the singer, composer and lyricist Antonina Krzysztoń, the painter, essayist and professor of fine arts Stanisław Rodziński, the world-famous composer of film and sacred music and conductor Ennio Morricone, the outstanding composer of contemporary music with religious motifs and film music Wojciech Kilar, and one of the oldest German publishing houses and the oldest Catholic publishing houses in Europe - Herder Publishing House.

The TOP DESIGN - main award went to the company GRANITE SKWARA.
Product awards and distinctions were awarded for exceptional products presented at the trade fair.
Distinctions:
- JAKOBCZAK STUDIO (Częstochowa) – for the marble figure of Saint Michael the Archangel
- ART COLIBRI MOSAIC - for mosaics
Medals:
- Andrzej Burkot's Woodcarving Workshop (Górki Wielkie) – for wood carvings "Angels Adoring"
- ZIGZAG – for a hand-embroidered Roman chasuble
Monday’s gala witnessed honorary awards presented to:
- CHARITY – medal named after the Primate of Poland, Cardinal Józef Glemp – for the host baked on hand-engraved matrices
- MIRANDA – medal of the Primate of Poland, Archbishop Wojciech Polak for the collection of liturgical and sacral fabrics "Mystery"
- Abiti Caelesti – Liturgical vestments – award of the Bishop of Kielce, Jan Piotrowski, for the collection "Ruby"
The culmination of the ceremony was a concert by the U Studni band with the participation of Adam Ziemianin, who recited his poems during the performance. After the concert, the premiere of the poetry book enjoyed great interest among the participants. "Here and there", containing previously unpublished poems and drawings by Ziemianin, the author signed the publications and talked to the participants of the meeting. Targi Kielce and Jedność Publishing House published the volumes.
