Description
For more than 40 years, Minelab has built detection technology trusted by military forces, humanitarian organisations and specialist search teams around the world. That reputation has not been built through marketing. It has been earned in the field, by producing equipment that works when getting it wrong can cost lives.
The threat continues to evolve. Conventional mines now sit alongside minimum-metal threats, IEDs and unexploded ordnance, often in difficult or contaminated ground. Finding metal is no longer enough. Operators need to identify genuine threats quickly, avoid unnecessary excavations and keep moving without compromising safety.
That is what Minelab systems are designed to do.
Our countermine range focuses on what matters to the operator: detection performance, reliability and ease of use. From the battle-proven F3 and advanced MDS-10 to the latest MDS-20, every system is developed around a simple question: does it make the operator safer and more effective?
The MDS-20 is Minelab’s latest dual-sensor detector. It combines advanced metal detection with ground-penetrating radar in a compact, lightweight platform. Designed to detect low-metal landmines, plastic explosives and difficult IED components, it gives operators greater confidence when assessing potential threats and helps make clearance faster and more efficient.
Technology alone is not enough. It needs to be backed by practical training, technical support and long-term sustainment. Minelab works closely with military engineers, EOD specialists and humanitarian demining organisations, using lessons from the field to shape future development.
Our support continues after delivery. We provide operator and maintainer training, technical assistance and through-life support because capability is measured over years of service—not on the day a detector leaves the factory.
As threats evolve, so do our sensors, software and detection capabilities. Our objective remains straightforward: improve detection, reduce operator workload and give commanders greater confidence in the capability they deploy.
If you are attending MSPO, come and speak to us. Whether your requirement is military countermine, humanitarian demining or specialist search, we would welcome the opportunity to understand your challenges and show how Minelab can support safer, faster and more effective operations.
