A linear bearing cage is an essential component of a linear bearing built on the basis of linear guides. The main task of the bearing cage is to keep the bearing elements inside the bearings on the guideway track in the correct operating position. The shape and material of which bearing cages are made depends on the environmental conditions and its operation. Most often, cages are made of metal (aluminum, steel, brass), plastic or metal-plastic components.

Linear guides constitute the basis for the construction of linear bearings. They usually take the form of a metal strip with mounting holes and a track for the rolling elements. The track can be either flat or profiled. The main task of linear guides is to transfer pressure from the parts of the machine to which the rolling elements are screwed, and to provide the rolling elements with the best possible conditions for correct operation. The shape and cross-sectional area of linear guides determine the rigidity of the bearings and the direction of the load. Flat guides can operate with loads in the direction perpendicular to the plane of the track. Profiled guides can handle loads in directions perpendicular to the feed axis.

Precision linear bars, also known as linear shafts, are an important group of linear guides and, together with support units, housings and ball bearings, form a reliable and economical linear guidance system. Linear systems built with linear shafts are widely used where precise feed is needed. All our linear shafts are surface hardened (induction hardened) to the depth of 0.4 to 3.2 mm, depending on the diameter of the shaft.
