The Plastics Transition – Plastics Europe Polska’s campaign at Targi Kielce
Plastics Europe Poland is an organisation that brings together plastic producers and promotes sustainable development in the sector. During the press conference at Targi Kielce, Managing Director Doctor Anna Kozera‑Szałkowska will present the latest data. This presentation will present the latest data on the condition of the Polish plastics sector in Europe, prepared based on the latest industry reports and statistical analyses. It will also signal the most critical challenges for the industry related to the changing legislation on plastics, the competitiveness of the European industry, and circular transformation. The Plastpol opening conference will start at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, 20 May, in the E-3 capsule in Expo Hall E. All visitors and exhibitors are welcome to participate.
The Foundation also arranges the Plastpol expo campaign, which promotes the main assumptions of the road map: "The Plastics Transition," which is the response of the European plastics sector to environmental, economic, and social challenges.
- We are at a key moment in transforming the plastics system; we need to increase our efforts to achieve ambitious goals, says Anna Kozera-Szałkowska, Managing Director of Plastics Europe Polska.
The Foundation's statement reads: "For the first time, our industry has come together around an extremely ambitious yet realistic plan to redesign the European plastics system – the Roadmap The Plastics Transition. The map reflects the profound cultural shift that has taken place in our industry. It will be our North Star for the years to come and reflects a profound cultural shift in our industry, towards a competitive, circular, and net-zero carbon plastics system in Europe. The specific goals and postulates included in the roadmap relate to key aspects of our transformation, such as dynamically increasing the level of recycling of plastics or plastics derived from biomass. The promotional campaign in the exhibition halls during this year's PLASTPOL will also be dedicated to them."
The Plastics Transition Roadmap is a document of particular importance. It contains ambitious but realistic goals to redesign the plastics system in Europe towards circularity and net zero emissions by 2050.
The map is not just a strategic document—it is a manifesto of cultural change taking place in the sector and shows how, in practice, industry can combine technological development with responsibility for the planet. The exhibition prepared by Plastics Europe Polska allows visitors to Plastpol to find out what specific steps plastics producers are already taking today to implement the assumptions of this vision.
The exhibition's visual form and content aim to involve a wide audience in the process of this transformation—not only producers and processors but also end customers, regulators, and representatives of public administration.
Plastpol as a platform for dialogue
The Plastpol 2025 is a meeting place for thousands of professionals from the plastics processing sector from around the world. The presence of the Plastics Transition campaign in this context has not only a promotional but also a strategic dimension—it is an opportunity to build international cooperation for a circular and low-emission future.
