The largest factory of the Chinese giant in Europe has already been established in Poland

21 may 2025
European Regional Centre of the Kingfa Science & Technology is already being built in Poland. The global leader in advanced materials, modified plastics, and biopolymers presented activities related to the new factory during the Plastpol plastics processing trade fair in Kielce. The investment, worth over EUR 60 million, is the company's third in Europe.

Poland is thus the gateway to Southern Europe.

The Chinese company Kingfa is presenting its capacities for the first time at the International Fair of Plastics and Rubber Processing, which continues until Friday in Kielce. The Plastpol presence is related to its strong entry into the Polish market. Construction of a factory has begun in Szprotawa, in the Lubuskie region, close to the border with Germany. This location was chosen due to its favourable investment conditions, support of local authorities, and the region's logistical potential.

Kingfa Science& Technology's new facility in Poland is to become the company's European regional centre.

The press conference allowed the company representatives —Eli Zhao, Director Sales & Marketing, and Steven Li, Director &  General Manager—to present their positions; they emphasised that Poland is not just another market for the company but a strategic entry point to the markets of Central and Southern Europe.

The Kingfa’s largest factory in Europe

The factory is being built on a plot of 140,000 m²;  the plant is expected to produce 300,000 tonnes of products per year, making it the largest facility of its type in Kingfa’s portfolio on the continent.

The executives announced that production will include a wide range of advanced plastic compounds, including polypropylene, polyamide, PBT polyester, polycarbonate, ABS, and their reinforced, fire-resistant, and recycled versions. Production will be targeted at key industrial sectors, including automotive, household appliances, electronics, and packaging.

Investment in technology and local development

- The latest technology already used in Kingfa plants in China and in the factory in Germany will be transferred to Poland  - furthermore, Szprotawa will not only be a production centre. It is also a research and development centre, which is another step in the strategy of locating innovations closer to the end customer, said company representatives at Targi Kielce.

Kingfa directors declared during the Plastpol conference that the factory will develop technologies adapted to EU sustainable development standards, including those related to chemical recycling and biodegradable materials.

Technologies from China, local development

Modern technology transferred to Poland from Kingfa plants in China is to be supplemented with local engineering competences, with an estimated value of EUR 60 million. As announced during the conference at Targi Kielce, the company will employ 500 people, mainly residents of the area.

All machines are almost ready; now we are waiting for the staff. Once we start production, it will be the largest factory in the European region, emphasised Eli Zhao, Sales Director & Company Marketing, during the conference at the Plastpol trade fair.

 Kingfa – a global leader

Kingfa was founded in 1993 in China; it now employs over 13,000 people worldwide and exports its products to 130 countries. The company’s presence in Europe, with plants in Germany and Spain, now extends to Poland—another pillar of its European expansion.
