MESKO - the largest manufacturer of ammunition and weapons in Poland

MESKO SA is a world-class manufacturer of defence products with nearly 100 years of production experience. The 30th jubilee edition of MSPO welcomes the Company and its presentation a wide range of weapons and ammunition used by the Polish Armed Forces and the NATO army.

The Company, based in Skarżysko-Kamienna, started operating in 1924 as the State Ammunition Factory. Over the years Company has built its production experience, being from the beginning of its operation the largest producer of ammunition and rockets in Poland. The core range of MESKO’s activities covers production for the national defence and security purposes.   The Company possesses modern technology for the production of rockets and ammunition, including sub-caliber ammunition, as well as infrastructure for the demilitarisation of outdated combat resources.

The most important and of strategic importance for the Polish Army are the following missile programs: PIORUN MANPADS, a product that is at the forefront of global solutions in terms of efficiency and precision in its class, SPIKE which is one of the best ATGM sets in the world, and a portable short range anti-tank missile homing to laser radiation reflected from the target – Lightweight ATGM PIRAT.

During the MSPO, customers will be able to see: small-calibre, medium-calibre, tank, artillery, precision fire, SPIKE-LR and SPIKE-LR 2 ammunition, GROM and PIORUN portable anti-aircraft missile systems, GROM and PIORUN launchers and missiles, LPC-1 target designator, the MSR "KUSZA" high-mobility anti-aircraft system, the M-21 FENIKS HE missile, and the PIRAT light missile system.

One of the last highlights of the International Defence Industry Exhibition was the presentation ceremony of the DEFENDER awards - the distinction is awarded every year by the Kielce defence trade show’s Programme Board and the Jury Panel. During the gala, other accolades were bestowed, including the Special Award of the Minister of Development and Technology, the Award of the President of Targi Kielce and awards for the arrangement of the expo stand.

On the third day of the International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce, the cooperation agreement between the Polish Armaments Group and the Metrology Cluster was signed. The signing act by the president of Targi Kielce, Doctor Andrzej Mochoń and PGZ president Sebastian Chwałek.

For these few days, Poland is at the heart of Europe's security architecture - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during his visit to Targi Kielce on Thursday, 8, September. From the first day of the jubilee MSPO, the exhibition of military equipment and modern technology is accompanied by numerous dynamic shows that attract a large group of people and generates an avid interest. The latest anti-drone systems, modern tools used by the military, unmanned aerial vehicles and thermal imaging cameras – there are only some examples of the assortment put on display at show-presentations.

The South Korean Hanwha Defense and Polish Armaments Group have signed a memorandum setting out the partnership principles for production, servicing, life cycle costs and future development of K9 self-propelled howitzers, infantry fighting vehicles and multiple rocket launchers. The memorandum was signed on the second day of the Targi Kielce MSPO.
