According to the "Tech Trends 2025" report, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming ubiquitous as a fundamental element of modern enterprises. It affects various aspects of business activities. In the plastics processing industry, AI can be used to optimise production processes, forecast demand, and improve product quality through advanced control systems. AI integration allows for more efficient resource management and waste reduction.

The Deloitte report also draws attention to spatial user interfaces (Spatial Computing). Spatial technologies such as augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) are becoming more important. In the context of plastics processing, they can be used to simulate production processes, train employees in a virtual environment or design new products in three-dimensional space, which speeds up innovation and reduces prototyping costs.

Deloitte experts predict further progress in computer hardware, including: integrated circuits adapted to neural networks and quantum computers woth their use that opens up new possibilities for data processing. For the plastics industry, this means faster analysis of large sets of production data, which translates into better operational and strategic decisions.

Modernization of basic systems, i.e. AI integration with existing IT systems is also becoming increasingly important. In the plastics industry, modernizing production and supply chain management systems using AI can lead to increased operational efficiency and better adaptation to changing market conditions.

Technologies and trends that will significantly impact the plastics sector will be discussed during the fair Plastpol, 20-23 May 2025 at Targi Kielce. Exhibitors from around 30 countries will present new opportunities for work automation, optimization of processing processes, product innovations and increased sustainable development.

The 29th International Fair of Plastics and Rubber Processing PLASTPOL will be held on 20- 23 May 2025 at Targi Kielce.  Tickets - plastpol.com
