Equal rights and digital product passports - important voices at the KIDS' TIME Expo
The debate was moderated by Monika Chmielińska, President of the Management Board of the Polish Association of the Toy and Children's Products Industry, and Dorota Mazurek, a publisher and editor, certified DIMAQ and DIMAQ AI specialist. The moderators emphasised the importance of equal and fair legal regulations for all market participants and pointed out that these regulations should apply equally to European producers and to companies introducing products from outside the EU, to ensure fair competition and genuine consumer protection.
Anna Adamczyk, representing the Axelote Team, discussed the concept of a digital product passport as one of the tools to increase market transparency. The digital passport is intended to enable quick access to information on the product's origin, composition, and compliance with applicable standards, which may, in the future, strengthen quality control and build consumer trust.
Natalie Suzdaltseva, Executive Director of the Ukrainian Toy Industry Association, focused on the challenges currently facing Ukrainian companies. Ender Micik, CEO of OYSID – Toy and Sports Goods Manufacturers and Exporters Association, presented the stages of cooperation between Turkish companies and distributors in the European Union.
