Envicell – bioplastics of the future from Grupa Azoty showcased at the Plastpol Expo
New bioplastics from Grupa Azoty are an extension of the line envifill®, aimed at applications requiring high mechanical strength, hardness, thermal, and chemical resistance while maintaining transparency and gloss.
Envicell comes in three variants:
- R15 – very high strength and heat resistance (comparable to PA6),
- R20 – durability retained in atmospheric conditions,
- R25 – flexibility and impact resistance (like PP/ABS).
The granulates are suitable for injection, extrusion and 3D printing and can be used in packaging, toys, furniture elements, writing instruments, household appliances and interior furnishings.
There are plans to use cellulose waste (waste paper, straw, rice husks), which will reduce costs and fit into the circular economy model as Envicell is an ecological response to the needs of modern industry.
Industry representatives will find out about this and many producers and suppliers of raw materials during the 29th International Fair of Plastics and Rubber Processing PLASTPOL, 20-23 May in Targi Kielce. Tickets for visitors available on the website plastpol.com
