Bicycles craze – this is thing

02 june 2020
In the coronavirus pandemic era, sports stores have seen a real siege, after several weeks’ restrictions imposed by the government, everything is slowly returning to normal. Cyclists have also hit the streets

People long for freedom and exercise - this can be seen with the "naked eye". The by-laws which impose the necessity to stay at home, the obligatory masks also worn in the open space - these restrictions have been partially lifted. We can at the same time observe a recent increase in the number of two wheels lovers who hot the streets.

According to the sportfakty.wp.pl, portal year-on-year bicycles sale is around one million bikes,  however, this year the number of sales seemed unrealistic at the turn of March and April, when the largest restrictions related to coronavirus were in force. The situation, however, quickly gained momentum, and the manufacturers and distributors are now afraid that they will run out of bikes to sell.

The government-imposed restrictions easing put "wind into the bicycle industry’s the sails”.

So far, Saturdays have seen the largest number of customers visitting sports stores.  Now also weekdays have become extremely popular.  This has been triggered with people’s great desire to return to their favourite pastime activities as soon as possible. Burning unnecessary kilograms many of us have accumulated in the era of coronavirus pandemic is the reason too:  - There is 80 percent increase in bicycles interest compared to the previous year  - says Rafał Gębara, director of cycling sports section at Decathlon Polska.

A bike has always been a great way to spend your free time,  not only do can we make some physical effort. we can also relax mentally while taking a ride on a two-wheeler.

Individual cyclists as well as an increased number of bigger groups can bee seen in the streets. Whole families are also into biking. This is the reason why children's bikes have also reported better sales figures. This bikes segment has demonstrated increased popularity recently.

Bicycles prices in the so-called "chain stores" range from 700 PLN up to 20 thousand PLN  pricing depends on the materials and the equipment quality.  Specialists advise to hurry, because the sports stores’ assortment melts like snow in spring day by day.  Wholesalers are already empty. The inventory in the Netherlands is a clear indicator - nothing to buy at any moment.

Before buying a dream two-wheeler, it is worth consulting with an expert who will advise you and help you choose a perfect bike that meets our expectations.

All two wheels fans are wholeheartedly invited to visit Targi Kielce from 1 to 3 October for the Kielce Bike-Expo, the place to learn about all bicycle industry and market latest innovations.
