Description
Karsan Otomotiv, headquartered in Bursa, is a global manufacturer of modern zero-emission buses. The brand operates in more than 20 countries, including the United States, Canada and Japan, with over 1,000 Karsan electric buses already in operation.
The range includes electric models measuring 6, 8, 10, 12 and 18 metres. Karsan is the first and only European brand to offer a complete range of 100% electric vehicles across all key urban transport segments. The portfolio also includes the 12-metre hydrogen-powered e-ATA Hydrogen and the Autonomous e-ATAK equipped with self-driving technology.
Three electric city buses on display
The models on display demonstrate the breadth of the range - from a compact minibus for city centres to an articulated bus for the busiest routes.
e-JEST
A compact 5.8-metre electric minibus carrying up to 20 passengers, with a range of up to 260 km. Agile and ideal for city centres, narrow streets, and short or feeder routes.
e-ATA 10
A fully low-floor electric bus measuring approximately 10.7 metres, carrying up to 79 passengers, with a range of up to 350 km. It combines energy efficiency, a spacious interior, comfort and flexible charging options.
e-ATA 18
An 18.3-metre articulated electric bus designed for high-demand routes. It carries up to 135 passengers and offers a range of up to 450 km.
Innovation and autonomous mobility
Since 2022, the Autonomous e-ATAK has carried passengers in regular urban service in Stavanger. Karsan's autonomous vehicles are used in Finland, the United States, Norway, France, Romania and Türkiye. To date, the Autonomous e-ATAK has travelled more than 90,000 km autonomously and carried over 30,000 passengers.
Karsan is a leader in the European electric bus market in the mini and midi segments, thanks in part to the e-JEST and e-ATAK models.
