Planning a good lesson starts with the end in mind, specifically with its expected outcomes and well-thought-out, measurable skills or competencies.

Isn't setting goals to develop every student's skills utopian? In my workshop, you'll learn that by changing your planning approach to differentiate instruction and materials using each linguistic competence, you'll not only improve the quality of your time with your students but also strengthen them. It's true that mixed groups can be a nightmare, but everyone can be included if you ensure scaffolding and takeaways are offered (a pleasant win-win). This requires tools and strategies, which we'll discuss together.

In the second part of the meeting, we'll analyze the benefits of  AfL - Assessment for Learning / formative assessment - deepening our understanding of the benefits of incorporating formative assessment into our daily lives. We'll learn how to adapt a modern, student-friendly approach, resources, and tools to measurably assess progress and deepen knowledge in the learning and teaching process, rather than simply "give a grade." In AfL, we reframe the approach to requirements, emphasizing feedback, and an action plan that can ultimately serve as a supportive recovery plan. This plan will empower students and help them achieve their goals.
