The Wheels on a Bus Are Go round and round, round and round,! TRANSEXPO Is Under Way!
The exhibition halls at Expo Kielce are buzzing with meetings between manufacturers, transport companies, public transport operators and bus enthusiasts. Visitors can get a close look at the vehicles, step inside, compare their features and talk directly to company representatives. This year’s edition is larger than the previous one, both in terms of exhibition space and the number of exhibitors.
Vehicles are being showcased by Solaris, MAN, IVECO, Irizar, Autosan, Isuzu, NESO-BUS, TEMSA, Karsan, King Long, Golden Dragon, Otokar, BMC, MMI and SOR. This broad line-up of brands offers an opportunity to explore different solutions and directions for the development of public transport.
Polish Premiere and Technologies for Public Transport
One of the main highlights is the Polish premiere of the Solaris Urbino 10.5 electric. This compact electric bus is the offering from the Bolechowo-based manufacturer for cities and operators developing zero-emission transport.
Exhibitors are also presenting safety systems, onboard electronics, passenger information systems, vehicle equipment, and solutions for fleet management and depot operations. Among the technologies on display is the BB-1 smartbus from Autonomous Systems, featuring autonomous manoeuvring capabilities within depots.
“The exhibition will provide a broad overview of how modern public transport is changing. Electric mobility, safety systems, onboard electronics, monitoring, passenger information, bus equipment and transport infrastructure are just some of the things visitors will discover at the trade show,” says Anna Gąszcz, Director of TRANSEXPO.
A 1938 Chevrolet and Buses with Extraordinary Stories
TRANSEXPO also offers a chance to explore the history of urban public transport. At the 6th Exhibition of Historic Buses, organised by the Polish Chamber of Urban Transport (IGKM), visitors can see a 1938 Chevrolet EFD 183 FS, whose restoration was completed in 2026.
The display also features the SAN H100B, Scania CR111M, Jelcz Berliet PR110U, Jelcz M11 and Ikarus 411, one of Poland’s pioneering low-floor bus designs. These vehicles have some unusual stories to tell: after being withdrawn from service, the SAN spent years as a garden summerhouse, while the Scania was used as a mobile cinema.
Seeing historic buses alongside the latest models highlights how vehicle design, equipment and passenger comfort have evolved over the years.
Awards, Industry Discussions and a Championship Final
The first day of the trade show will conclude with a gala ceremony presenting Expo Kielce TRANSEXPO medals and distinctions, along with the Polish Bus of the Year 2026 and BUS GURU 2026 awards, presented by the TransInfo editorial team.
On 15 October, the Transport Operators’ Conference, organised by the Polish Chamber of Road Transport and Freight Forwarding (PIGTSiS), will take place. Topics will include public transport regulations, cybersecurity, fleet management and road safety.
Then, on 16 October, 18 finalists, including three women, will compete for the title of Poland’s best professional bus driver. The Polish Professional Bus Drivers’ Championship Final will test their knowledge, precision and ability to handle a large vehicle.
Running alongside TRANSEXPO is the fifth edition of the HOL-EXPO Polish Roadside Assistance Trade Show, dedicated to specialist vehicles and equipment used in roadside assistance and recovery operations.
TRANSEXPO and HOL-EXPO run from 14 to 16 October 2026 at Expo Kielce.
