A Nostalgic Journey at TRANSEXPO: Historic Buses Turn Heads!
At EXPO KIELCE, visitors can see vehicles spanning several decades, from a 1938 Chevrolet EFD 183 FS and the SAN H100B to the Jelcz M11 and PR110U, as well as the exceptionally rare Ikarus 411, one of the pioneering fully low-floor bus designs.
Each bus has its own story. Some spent years carrying passengers through Polish cities, while others took on entirely different roles after leaving service. The 1973 SAN H100B served as a garden summerhouse for many years, while the Scania CR111M was used as a mobile cinema in Sweden after being withdrawn from regular service. Now, carefully restored, both can once again be admired up close.
Organised by the Polish Chamber of Urban Transport (IGKM), the exhibition shows how public transport has evolved over the decades – in terms of vehicle design, passenger comfort, technology and styling.
Take a look at our gallery and join us on a nostalgic journey through the history of Polish public transport.
TRANSEXPO 2026 runs at EXPO KIELCE until 16 October.
