Jubilee distinctions for Targi Kielce employees

On the eve of the opening ceremony of the 30th International Defence Industry Exhibition MSPO, President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda visited Targi Kielce and bestowed orders and distinctions to several Kielce Expo Centre’s Employees. For merits in the development of the exhibition sector in Poland, the President of Targi Kielce, Andrzej Mochoń PhD., was awarded the Officer's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta.

The President of Targi Kielce, Andrzej Mochoń, received a distinction from the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda, for outstanding contribution to the development of the exhibition sector in Poland, for his contribution to the promotion of the Polish defence industry in the international arena, for public activity. Mr Mochoń received the Officer's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta. The President of the Republic of Poland also honoured Bożena Staniak with the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta for outstanding contributions to the development of the exhibition sector in Poland, for charity and social activities.

The winners list also included: Grzegorz Bąk, Urszula Wasińska and Agnieszka Wicha Dauksza - the bronze Cross of Merit for social activities, Urszula Kołodziejczyk received the bronze Cross of Merit for activities for the protection of animals, Andrzej Kiercz, Tomasz Potocki and Mirosław Ryk for exemplary and conscientious performance of professional duties - the Golden Medal for many years of service. Robert Burak and Joanna Marcjan received the Silver Medal for many years of service, and Edyta Kasznia and Damian Kocuba were awarded a bronze medal for long service.

President Andrzej Duda congratulated the recipients, but also emphasized the importance of MSPO on the international arena, its importance for the Republic of Poland and for Polish defence, safety and security.

- First of all, I wholeheartedly congratulate to those who received the accolades, starting with President Andrzej Mochoń. I also want to thank them. Anyone who has been to Kielce over the last 30 years knows about the epochal change not only in the place where the expos are held, but also in Kielce, in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. (..) MSPO has become a great, global scale event, which is a much owed to the President, the entire team and associates, as well as the city authorities. . (..) Thank you very much once again for all these years of expo development. I congratulate on your great development and wish that it will continue to be equally dynamic - emphasized the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda.

The International Defence Industry Exhibition celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. Join us from 6 to 9 September.  Saturday, 10 September marks the Open Day.

One of the last highlights of the International Defence Industry Exhibition was the presentation ceremony of the DEFENDER awards - the distinction is awarded every year by the Kielce defence trade show’s Programme Board and the Jury Panel. During the gala, other accolades were bestowed, including the Special Award of the Minister of Development and Technology, the Award of the President of Targi Kielce and awards for the arrangement of the expo stand.

From the first day of the jubilee MSPO, the exhibition of military equipment and modern technology is accompanied by numerous dynamic shows that attract a large group of people and generates an avid interest. The latest anti-drone systems, modern tools used by the military, unmanned aerial vehicles and thermal imaging cameras – there are only some examples of the assortment put on display at show-presentations.

The South Korean Hanwha Defense and Polish Armaments Group have signed a memorandum setting out the partnership principles for production, servicing, life cycle costs and future development of K9 self-propelled howitzers, infantry fighting vehicles and multiple rocket launchers. The memorandum was signed on the second day of the Targi Kielce MSPO.
