For years, the ENEX has enjoyed unflagging interest among exhibitors and visitors. Not only is it a commercial exhibition, but also a forum for the exchange of information and experience, as well as the opportunity to present innovative technical and technological solutions for the power engineering sector. In addition to devices used for the generation, transmission and distribution of energy, the expo offers the chance to become familiar with IT and telecommunications systems used for the power industry, as well as with electricity conservation metods.

The ENEX - New Energy - Fair of Renewable Sources of Energy was held in parallel - this was the presentation platform for RES-based electricity generation and transmission methods, heat and technologies related to renewable energy sources.

The accompanying events list included the conference on "The use of energy from renewable sources in Poland - current status and development prospects", the 3rd seminar "Development of Wind Energy in Poland - necessity or idealism", the international seminar on "Use of biomass in heating installations" and a panel discussion devoted to development of renewable energy. Mini-educational centres on renewable energy have also been created for local authorities and investors.

The ENEX and ENEX New Energy 2003 were created in cooperation with Targi Kielce and the Energy and Environmental Protection Chamber of Commerce. Honorary Patronage over the fair was granted by: the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on  Restructuring of Energy, the Senator of the Republic of Poland - Jerzy Suchański and the Association of Polish Electrical Engineers.
