In injection molding, defects rarely appear where they originate. One of the most common and costly examples is the short shot, where the part leaves the mold incomplete despite machine parameters appearing correct. Pressure Measuring and Monitoring System
MOLDi by Cavity Eye is an advanced process and production monitoring system for modern manufacturing, combining data collection and visualization with active separation of faulty products to ensure consistent quality and reduced waste. It enables optimization of production technology through precise cavity pressure measurement and continuous supervision based on a wide range of process data. The system’s proprietary software centrally displays, analyzes, and stores all information, providing full transparency and supporting efficient decision-making. Data is collected via Smart Measuring Plug (SMP), Smart Flow Plug (SFP), and Smart Control Plus (SCP), which also enables digital communication with machines for seamless integration.
The MOLDi system has a weight of 7.8 kg and a shipping size of 650 × 410 × 610 mm. It supports external displays of 10.1" (250 × 180 mm) and 15.6" (390 × 240 mm). The operating temperature range is 5–50 °C. Power supply requirements are 90–264 V AC at 47–63 Hz. The system meets industrial protection standards including IEC 60529:1989 (IP54), EN55022, EN6000-6-2, TÜV EN60950-1, and UL508. It is equipped with 4 GB PC memory and 32–64 GB storage capacity. The maximum power consumption is 120 W. Operating voltage follows IEEE 802.3af standard at 48 VDC.
