Description
CloudFerro is the largest Polish company in the space sector and one of the leading providers in Europe. Its solutions are used by major European companies and scientific institutions working with large-scale data, such as the Polish Space Agency (POLSA), the European Space Agency (ESA), the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT), the German Aerospace Center (DLR), and many others. CloudFerro holds the status of prime contractor for the aforementioned institutions.
Key projects:
• NSIS-Cloud – a cloud platform for the Polish National Satellite Information System (NSIS), enabling access to and processing of Earth Observation satellite data, based on CloudFerro’s infrastructure — the largest public cloud in Poland, fully operated and hosted in-country.
• CAMILA – CloudFerro is the ground segment operator for the first Polish national constellation of observation satellites CAMILA (Country Awareness Mission in Land Analysis), enabling independent monitoring of crisis situations for civilian and military purposes. The company will deliver comprehensive ground infrastructure services for the mission, including reception, processing, cataloguing, and dissemination of satellite-acquired data.
• Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem (CDSE) – the world’s largest Earth Observation data ecosystem, providing open, immediate, and free access to data, along with tools for processing them. CDSE is the main access point for data from the European Copernicus programme.
• CREODIAS – a public cloud platform integrated with a multi-petabyte repository of Earth Observation data. The current version, CREODIAS 2.0, is the first commercial element of the CDSE ecosystem, enabling the creation and scaling of EO-based services for public administration, science, and business.
• Destination Earth Data Lake – a large-scale cloud-based data repository that underpins the EU’s flagship Destination Earth initiative, aimed at developing a highly accurate digital model of the Earth to model and monitor our planet and simulate natural phenomena with unprecedented precision.
