MSPO 2025: A strong voice for safety!
The 33rd International Defence Industry Exhibition at Targi Kielce confirmed its position as one of the three most essential defence exhibitions in Europe. The event brought together nearly 39,000 guests - the exhibition area of almost 40,000 m² hosted 811 companies from 35 countries. They presented solutions which made their debut and signed key agreements, strengthening the security of Poland and its allies
Record-breaking scale and international presence
This year's MSPO was impressive; this spectacular scale is demonstrated with facts and figures – 811 exhibitors from 35 countries occupied nearly 40,000 m² of exhibition space, attracting delegations from 42 countries and confirming that Kielce is now one of the "top 3" European defence industry shows, at par with Paris and London shows. The organisers reported a record footfall level, with business insiders and almost 39,000 participants, including 670 accredited journalists covering the event for media around the world. “This expo is not about war, this expo is about peace,” emphasised the Speaker of the Sejm, Szymon Hołownia, during the opening ceremony, pointing to the role of technology in protecting the lives of soldiers and civilians.
Poland in the foreground – visit of the Prime Minister and ministers
The Kielce Exhibition and Congress Centre can count on the necessary support not only from the Speaker of the Sejm. President Karol Nawrocki has granted the event His honorary auspices. The cooperation between the Kielce Exhibition and Congress Centre and the Ministry of National Defence is also excellent; the head of the Ministry of National Defence, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, officially opened the trade fair on the first day. On the second day of Targi Kielce, Prime Minister Donald Tusk visited the event, emphasising the potential of Polish companies and the importance of maximising domestic participation in army modernisation. Key members of the government were also present – including Minister of Finance and Economy Andrzej Domański, Secretaries of State at the Ministry of National Defence Cezary Tomczyk, and Minister of State Assets Wojciech Balczun, who accompanied the signing of the agreements and visited the expo stands of the national champions. The political and economic significance of the visits reflected the importance of the exhibition, as the interests of the state, the military, and industry converged.
Contracts and agreements – decisions are made in Kielce
On the very first day, MSPO's strategic partner, Polish Armaments Group and the Armaments Agency, finalised contracts worth over PLN 6 billion, covering the delivery of 46 passive radar stations under the Narew program and 23,000 MSBS Grot rifles. In the following days, MSPO witnessed further decisions. On the third day of the event, the Armament Agency signed four contracts to strengthen the capabilities of the Polish Armed Forces: for MPPZM anti-ship mines, MU-90 PTD training torpedoes, specialised containers for the F-35, and several hundred GBU-39B bombs. The nature of this year's expo is well reflected in the recapitulation of the second day – "MSPO has become the government's decision-making centre" – visible in the pace and importance of the agreements.
Innovation, AI and Science for Defence
MSPO is not only about equipment and contracts, but also a debate venue about the future of the military. The agenda included the "AI and Defence" conference of the IDEAS Research Institute on the applications of artificial intelligence in command, cybersecurity, and robotics. The contribution of science was also highlighted by new agreements of the Military University of Technology, ranging from cooperation on quantum technologies to training and engine laboratories, as well as numerous industry panels and B2B meetings. This is where science, business and the armed forces set common development directions.
Awards and distinctions – DEFENDER, President of the Republic of Poland Award and TOP DESIGN accolades
The Expo culminated in a gala awarding ceremony when DEFENDER Awards, the President of the Republic of Poland Award, distinctions of the heads of the armed forces and TOP DESIGN were presented. Innovative radar systems, UAV solutions, and communications and optoelectronics projects – technologies that are already having a real impact on defence capabilities have gained recognition and splendour. The list of winners confirms the wide range of Polish and international competencies present in Kielce. Comprehensive winners list.
MSPO 2026 will be held in a new expo hall of 15,500 m², which will translate into even better exhibition conditions and visitor comfort. The next major meeting of services responsible for public safety at Targi Kielce is the POLSECURE International Expo, 21–23 April 2026.
