Established in 1965 Industrial Research Institute for Automation and Measuerements PIAP is the leading center of robotics, automation, and industrial measurements in Poland. Over 250 employees, divided into interdisciplinary teams, conduct research on new technologies. Our business involves responding to needs and challenges of Polish economy.
PIAP is the first and largest Polish manufacturer of mobile robots for special applications, ie. for the domestic and foreign army, police, border guards and fire fighters. Robots and robotic devices are used in C-IED operations, surveillance and remote observation, protection of borders and infrastructure, search and rescue missions, crisis management, monitoring and patrolling, detection and CBRN threats analysis.
PIAP’s business activities are based on a wide range of domestic and international contacts with universities, companies, start-ups, research institutes, governmental and administrative institutions, local governments, and NGOs. PIAP business and R&D activities are based on cooperation in consortia.
