MAKINE ve KIMYA ENDUSTRISI INC. (MKE Inc.) General Directorate is a State Owned Inc. and the manufacturer and exporter of various types of ammunition, weapon systems, rocket systems, explosives and civil products.

MKE has been the main supplier of Turkish Armed Force, under various names, since its
establishment and gained its current legal status as a stage organization in 1950.
MKE having a large range of products not only serves the Turkish Armed Forces but also takes share
in the International Defence Industry Market by exporting to more than 50 countries.
MKE with its 10 modern factories and 5.400 experienced personnel keeps its range of production in 4

MKE produces explosives and chemicals for both military and civil purposes for almost a century.
Propellants, powders, rocket propellants and pyrotechnic productions dates back to 1930’s.
Propellants and explosives for all type of our own ammunition productions are being produced as
military purpose productions. Different types of dynamites, emulsion explosive and hunting powder
are main civil purpose productions.
Raw materials, nitrocellulose and nitroglycerine for above-mentioned products and oleum for
nitration processes are also produced in our own facilities.
Besides many kinds of classical explosives, which are used in bombs and warheads, MKE recently
got the ability for production of RDX and HMX (with coated types).
MKE also have the ability of ammunition dismantling and disabling since 1959. As a part of this
ability, and have a TNT Recovery plant. All kinds of artillery, howitzer, mortar, anti-aircraft and
small calibre ammunition disabled by Turkish Army Forces are dismantled in our facility. Any kinds
of recovered metal materials such as steel, brass, zinc and aluminium after the dismantling and
disabling processes are moved to the related factories in order to use as raw materials.
