ARMSTAL steel grade is made in steelwork COGNOR SA BRANCH HSJ IN STALOWA WOLA by the standard industrial procedures. We carry out the full production cycle starting from melting, then rolling, heat treatment up to cutting of the finished pices of armour plates according to conditions agreed with the Customer. The relevant mechanical properties of that steel are achieved by corresponding heat treatment procedure: quenching and tempering. ARMSTAL is characterized by high strenght combined with high ductility. With properly selected hardenability, the structure and hardness is uniformed throughout the thickness of the plate. The can be used for components working in a wide temperature range, up to (-40°C). These features give the plates made of such material high ballistic resistance thus providing protection of human life.
We also provide steel bars that are used to produce components for the defense industry. Our advanced knowledge of the metallurgy process associated with the production of steel and its treatment allows us to design and manufacture steel with the chemical composition and mechanical strength properities depending on their end use.
