Berlopak has been a representative of Canadian SCEPTER brand products since 2016. Our offer includes light fuel, water and ammunition containers starting with 60mm to 155mm calibre. The US military and its allies, as well as the Canadian National Defense, have been utilizing our products for over 20 years. Scepter containers are lighter, better and safer than traditional packaging made of wood and steel. When designing its products, Scepter focused primarily on:
• Increased lightness with 14%--41% reduced weight depending upon the item. They constitute the lightest packaging option available, helping to save the entire defense budget costs. Fuel, vehicle maintenance and healthcare expenses are reduced due to minimized weight. Reducing the load of an overloaded soldier has a far-reaching impact on the efficiency and readiness of the forces.
• Reduced transportation costs - due to maximizing aircraft capacity and improving vehicle fuel efficiency, it is in alignment with carbon dioxide reduction plans and policies currently being developed in a number of countries. Climate change has already been categorized as a threat to National Security in North America, as well as within many partner countries, including Slovenia.
• Increased ammunition manufacturers' performance within their facilities resulting from minimizing padding placement inside of ammunition packaging. Reduced padding placement translates into fewer ammunition handling-related problems, making it safer for production facility employees and can also lead to labour cost savings. Reduced padding also can come in handy in terms of shoot-and-scoot activities. Fewer packaging elements also signify that there are fewer visible elements left that could potentially make a position more visible for the opponent. To provide an example of the weight savings that have been achieved, it can be mentioned that our fuel containers weigh 4 pounds (1.80 kg); they are lighter than their metal equivalents, the use of containers, Scepter brand for mortar ammunition with the calibre of 120 mm guarantees weight savings of up to 412 pounds (186 kg) per pallet and 8 578 pounds (3890 kg) per 1000 rounds. It is a significant matter while taking an aircraft load capacity into account. These are just some of the benefits, and this is just the beginning. Wood and steel stand for old solutions which are characterized by an excessive weight. They are not adjusted to achieve weight reduction, fuel efficiency, retrofit or CO2 reduction goals, while all mentioned goals are met by Scepter products. All our packaging is certified with UN (4H2), Packaging Group II for the Transport of Dangerous Goods.
