FAMUR is one of the four business segments of the Grenevia Group, intended to develop solutions for the mining sector and the wind energy industry (under the commercial brands FAMUR and FAMUR Gearo, respectively).

FAMUR Hydraulic Power Branch in Zabrze offers products in the fields of power hydraulics, control hydraulics, sealing systems, and protective coatings. The plant also carries out a wide range of machining processes. Its products and services can be applied across many industries.
Technological capabilities include milling and drilling of parts and components on milling and drilling centers, including a 5 axis machining center; turning and boring on CNC and conventional lathes; as well as milling on vertical milling machines. The facility also performs shaft grinding, tube honing, deep hole drilling using gun drills, material cutting on band saws, and shot blasting of parts and components.
The plant is equipped with a modern paint booth designed for hydrodynamic coating of structures, as well as welding facilities using the MAG/MIG method, including circumferential pipe welding on in house manufactured welding positioners.
A key area of activity is the production of hydraulic and pneumatic seals, including custom designed seals manufactured in accordance with the customer’s specifications. All seals can be laser marked. The facility also applies the DURACHROM protective coating to new and refurbished piston rods and cores (upper props).
FAMUR Hydraulic Power provides design engineering and manufacturing services for power and control hydraulics based on its own technical documentation, as well as documentation supplied by the customer. The scope of services includes pressure testing, overhaul and refurbishment of power hydraulics, manufacturing and testing of hydraulic hoses, and the production of plastic components using injection molding technology, including the design of injection molds.
