Agrotech - the venue for scientific competition of young farmers

Targi Kielce is the stage for the finals of the Young Agricultural Producers Olympics struggle  In the last and the third competition stage there are the winners selected in Provincial Finals from all across Poland.

The  National Final consists of two parts. In the first part held from 2 to 6 March the participants sat the exam and were put to practical test. From among this group the top 10 entrants have been selected to participate in the second round of the National Finals held within the scope of  Agrotech expo . 

 Secondary-school pupils who enter the Olympics strict finals, having passed the final-school examination, you will be granted students' course-of-studies record-books a chosen faculty at the . Hugo Kołłątaj Agricultural University of Cracow.

 The honorary patronage to this year's Olympics has been granted by: the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Marek Sawicki, Marshal of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship Adam Jarubas, President of the National Council of Agricultural Chambers Wiktor Szmulewicz and the Swietokrzyskie - Iwona Hickiewicz

Scientific patronage is exercised by Agricultural University of Cracow  - Faculty of Engineering and Energy. Media patronage has been granted by Zielony Sztandar [Green Banner], Top Agrar Poland and the Pierwszy Portal Rolny [First Agricultural Portal].

 The Olympics is open for young agricultural producers and students who either own of cooperate with a farm. Participants age limit is from 17 - 40 years old. The Elimination stage thematic scope includes the following sections:

 * Plant production;
 * Animal production;
 * Mechanization of agriculture;
 * Protection of the environment and renewable energy sources;
 * Economics and Management;
 * Occupational Health and Safety;
 * Issues related to the Common Agricultural Policy and the Rural Development Programme for the years 2014-2020.

 Following the previous years' example, in order to select the best of the best the Olympics has been divided into three stages, starting from the School Qualifying Round (local community stage), through the Regional Finals and eventually the National Final held at the 21st International Fair of Agricultural Techniques "AGROTECH" in Kielce. Związek Młodzieży Wiejskiej [Rural Youth Association] puts a great effort into Polish agriculture development; it follows the European guidelines to make agricultural sector young, innovative and competitive. Therefore Olympics motto is:  "Youth, Innovativeness, Competitiveness".
