It is the third time the International Fair of Rural and Agricultural Tourism AGROTRAVEL is held in Targi Kielce. The fair has brought together 140 exhibitors from home and abroad.

The fair is organised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Sport and Tourism and the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship Marshal Office. This year for the first time Hungary has played the prestigious role of the “Partner Country”; this role is the part of the framework of Polish – Hungarian agreement on the National Rural Network.

The driving force which motivates the fair organisers to continue the organisation of the AGROTRAVEL fair is the increasing interest rural tourism generates. This sector of economy is perceived as the driving factor for rural areas development, sales market creation for agricultural produce and food as well as for hand-craft works.

The fair visitors’ attention was also caught by the “Jagiellonian Route”, beekeeping farms – the lands of honey, Babskie Ranch – the horse riding course and horse riding lessons for women, the middle-ages style Knights’ Stand.
