THE MINISTER OF NATIONAL DEFENCE OPENED THE TRADE SHOW

The International Defence Industry Exhibition commences in Targi Kielce's

One of the world's most important events of the defense sector - MSPO 2014 has started today. The opening ceremony of the 22nd International Defence Industry Exhibition   was attended by the guests of honour, including the Ministers of Defence and Poland and France - Tomasz Siemoniak and   Jean-Yves Le Drian. In his speech, Minister Siemoniak appealed to representatives of companies, consortia, the armed forces to carry out their tasks with exactness and diligence. He stressed that in the face of the greatest security crisis in Europe since the Cold War's end, meeting like the one held today in Kielce are much more than a commercial, trade ad business venture; in the deepest sense of the word they are also patriotic. He also stressed the enormous success Targi Kielce has attained in the last 22 years as the organiser of the Defence Expo. The Minister also said that the word "Kielce" is on everybody's lips whenever he talks with foreign partners.

The opening ceremony gained extra splendour owing to the presence of Polish government's representatives, parliamentarians, senators, commanding staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland, members of the 54 official foreign delegations and representatives of the diplomatic corps from   38 countries.

This year's International Defence Industry Exhibition is a record-breaking event in every respect   the trade fair is the showcase for nearly 500 companies from 27 countries from all around the world, their offer is put on display on more than 25 000 sqm.
