 "The Targi Kielce's involvement in the industry's promotion is exemplary on the business sector's scale" - Tadeusz Franaszek, the President of Technical Association of Polish Foundrymen said during the opening ceremony.  "We have witnessed the miracle of the birth of the Expo; we have been a part of it right from the start and we intend to continue our involvement"  - Professor Jerzy Józef Sobczak, director of the Foundry Research Institute congratulated at the ceremony.

 This is the twentieth time   Targi Kielce   hosts exhibitors and   visitors to the METAL Expo. From nineteen   years   Metal Expo has been accompanied with CONTROL-TECH exhibition, for thirteen years with ALUMINIUM & MONFERMET. Poland's largest and   most important   exhibitions group focused on foundry industry and engineering has been refereed to as  ''Kielce casting festival" by the expos' participants.   Last year the event has been enhanced with the RECYCLING. 

The trade show opening gala was attended by representatives of local authorities and self-government, delegates of scientific institutions and business milieus as well as entrepreneurs active in the foundry engineering sector. There were also guests of honour who gave extra splendour to the function; the China Foundry Association of Deputy   Secretary General Ms Yuan   Yajuan   and the founder and president of FARO - the International Commodities Club - Mr. Paolo Kauffmann.

The trade shows have been formally opened by Understandably of State at the Ministry of Economy Mr Arkadiusz Bąk.. After the ceremony everyone was invited to take a commemoration photograph.

This year's expo has brought together exhibitors from 26 countries.
