This is Targi Kielce's long-standing tradition to focus December events for hobbies, passions and sports. Pigeon and race pigeons aficionados, rabbit lovers, decorative poultry fans are brought together in Targi Kielce in order to admire unusual specimens and exchange experiences. Representatives of the Kielce District of the  Polish Association of Carrier Pigeons present 795 best birds this year. The main point of the jubilee 50th  Regional Carrier Pigeons Exhibition is the charity auction for the Świętokrzyskie Paediatrics Centre at the Regional Polyclinical Hospital. The vast majority of funds fund-raised at the auction of pigeons donated by breeders are again offered to help the youngest patients treatment, those who suffer from oncological diseases. In addition, a part of the amount will be transferred to school and educational and educational facilities.

Satin dwarf and Belgian giant - meet pedigree rabbits!

One thousand one hundred thirty-eight rabbits have been registered for  the Swietokrzyskie Exhibition of Pedigree Rabbits. As the organizer of the exhibition, Sylwester Klimek, the President of the Świętokrzyskie Breeders Association of Pedigree Rabbits and Small Livestock emphasizes - breeders appreciate the fact that the event is held in Kielce and pay special attention to the conditions in the expo halls. The right temperature and space mean that rabbit owners are eager to put their specimens on show at Targi Kielce. The Association has also prepared a surprise for the youngest guests - on Saturday (3 December) at 1.00 pm, the main stage hosts a quiz about rabbits.

Ornamental poultry? Why not?

The December exhibition also features pedigree pigeons and decorative poultry. It is worth paying attention to this interesting, though slightly less popular hobby. Racial pigeons can be found in as many as 9 groups;  the history of ornamental poultry breeding in Poland dates back to at least 1989. Visitors to the Świętokrzyskie Exhibition of Pedigree Pigeons and Decorative Poultry can see over 300 specimens. One can finally determine what these tangerines really look like...
