POLAND'S RURAL AREAS BOAST THEIR POTENTIALS

AGROTRAVEL Expo has formally launched

The 7th International Fair of Rural and Agricultural Tourism AGROTRAVEL has started today in Targi Kielce ; this is a great celebration and festival of music, dance, singing, cuisine and traditions. The representatives of almost all Polish regions put on show wealth and diversity of their home-lands. The wide and varied local products offer includes many delights and delicacies, decorative and functional articles which derive form history, tradition and nature.

 -  Today we can see that the Polish parliament has been increasingly supporting rural areas' inhabitants  - said Swietokrzyskie Voivodeship Marshal - Adam Jarubas at the opening ceremony. This way the Marshal alluded  to the legislation introduced this week - the new regulations permit farmers to sell food-products produced processed from their own produce and resources without business registration.  This is a significant step forward. On behalf of the producers I wish to express my gratitude for. Until now they have escaped inspectors who visited the outdoor markets -added the politician in his comment.

The opening ceremony was attended by the guests of honour, including the Deputy Speaker of the Polish Parliament - Mr. Eugeniusz Grzeszczak, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development - Mr Tadeusz Nalewajk, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development - Zofia Szalczyk, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Sport and Tourism - Mr. Tomasz Jędrzejczak and Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Economy who is also the chairman of the Świętokrzyskie Province ragional government assembly - Mr. Arkadiusz Bak.
