As Sławomir Pająk observes, the charitable auction  whose objective is to support the  Paediatric Oncology Department at the Wł. Buszkowski Specialist Provincial Children's Hospital has generated an avid interest among pigeon breeders. The best specimens are presented by the union members from all corners of Poland. 47,900 PLN was paid for 128 pigeons on auction, the breeders association made an extra contribution of 15,000 PLN generated in relation to the "Paris" flight. Therefore the hospital's account was credited with 62,900 PLN in total!

- I do not know exactly how much I have spent -said Łukasz Klimek who bought somepigeons at the auction. It was about 7 thousand PLN -I felt it deep in my heart that I need to help the children in need.

The campaign was actively supported by the hospital deputy director Włodzimierz Wielgus, who gave the pigeon he has won for further bidding.
