More companies have joined the Metrology Cluster - agreements signed during the Industrial Spring
Metrology Cluster with growing potential
As Piotr Ziółkowski, Director General of the Central Office of Measures, recalled, the idea of establishing the Metrology Cluster was born in 2022 at the Kielce Trade Fairs at the initiative of the scientific and institutional community. Today, the cluster has nearly 60 members – universities, research institutes, businesses, and economic institutions. This is a broad community collaborating on research and development projects, implementation doctorates, and obtaining funding from the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development and the National Centre for Research and Development, he emphasised. Director Ziółkowski also announced a "new opening" in the cluster's activities and the preparation of a schedule for the coming months, intended to make cooperation even more dynamic.
Companies from various industries contribute to the cluster
Jerzy Jóźwik, Director of the Polish Metrological Union, announced that eight companies from various economic sectors joined the cluster during the event. Documents with company representatives were signed by Urszula Wasińska, Coordinator of the Metrology Cluster and Director of the Targi Kielce Congress Centre.
Konrad Panek represented Emico Robotics. The company specialises in the design and implementation of automation systems and the robotisation of industrial processes. The company integrates production technologies, designs control systems and implements automated technological lines. Emico Robotics solutions support enterprises in their transformation towards Industry 4.0 and increase the efficiency and repeatability of production processes.
Sur-Trans was represented by Adam Boś. The company provides domestic and international transport services, with a focus on the European Union market. It has a modern fleet of vehicles equipped with route-monitoring systems, enabling ongoing control and enhancing transport safety.
EC TEST Systems represented by Jacek Spisak. The company provides advanced measurement, diagnostic, and simulation solutions, particularly in vibration, acoustics, and thermal analysis, including measuring equipment, thermal imaging cameras, and 3D scanners, to support research in industry and science.
Charger represented by Tomasz Wiśniewski. The company develops competencies in artificial intelligence and in integrating digital technologies with metrology. Supports laboratories and quality departments by offering training, educational tools, and solutions to support work with technical documentation and measurement procedures.
Marcin Kwiatkowski represented Cloudsty. The company operates at the intersection of IT and industry, developing tools that utilise artificial intelligence for industrial applications, including CNC machine tools. The company enables users without advanced programming knowledge to leverage modern technologies, thereby increasing automation and data analysis.
The companies Nowak Technologie® and R7CNC / Beta Reiter also join the Metrology Cluster.
Nowak Technologies® specialises in metalworking and the production of technical enclosures, including telecommunications and control cabinets. Measurements, quality control and verification of design parameters play a key role in its activities, ensuring high precision and compliance with standards.
R7CNC / Iwetta Rajter deals with diagnostics, machine servicing and maintenance, and uses advanced measurement equipment to support the reliability and efficiency of industrial processes.
Metrology is the foundation of modern industry
The inclusion of new companies in the Metrology Cluster confirms the growing importance of metrology in the modern economy – from industrial automation and transport to advanced research and digital technologies.
The cluster enables the development of innovation, knowledge transfer and the implementation of joint research and development projects. The meeting of all members, planned for the autumn, is to be the next step in integrating the community and setting direction for further development.
– This is a very promising area of cooperation, which is already bringing concrete results and will continue to be dynamically developed – concluded Piotr Ziółkowski.
