Belgian arms manufacturer FN HERSTAL has introduced modifications to the 5.56 mm and 7.62 mm  Minimi machine guns offered by the Polish the exclusive distributor - CENZIN.  Thus the the current   Mk2 version has been replaced with the new Mk3 mutation. The producer has introduced the new, modernized Mk-3 version which has suppressed the Mk2.  The latest version of the Minimi Mk-3 has been enhanced with an ergonomic, adjustable, 5-positional buttstock. A new and improved feeder cover design allows to close it safely with or without the barrel on. The gun comes also with the handguard/bipod assembly with three forward MIL-STD-1913 "Picatinny" accessory rails and an adjustable-height bipod which can be folded back. 

Mk3 also features a new ergonomic reload lever which makes it easier for left-hand reload. There is also an improved feed tray and the belt retaining pawls that hold the belt correctly in position during the loading procedure and allows for one-hand operation.  Optionally the weapon can be equipped with a barrel thermal shield .

Not only does CENZIN offer MINIMI Mk-3 gun, but also a set of components which make it possible to modernise the previously used Minimi Mk-2 guns.
The modernization scope depends on the individual user's requirements.
