Military Aviation Works No. 1 S.A mark their presence at the 30th MSPO in Kielce

The Łódź-headquartered company and its Dęblin branch are the leaders of the aviation industry and an essential part of the Polish Armaments Group. The WZL1 key activities include - major repairs, overhauls, maintenance and modernization of helicopters, including from the Mi family, engines from the TW3-117 family and military and civil aircraft services.

The September trade fair is the arena for WZL1 to present their services -  major repairs, maintenance and modernization of Mi family helicopters (Mi-8, Mi-14, Mi-17, Mi-24), TW3-117 aircraft engines, repair and improvement of aircraft aggregates, aircraft maintenance military and civilian, production of composites, production of electric harnesses, galvanic and varnish coatings, metrology, machining and non-destructive testing.

The helicopter models will be presented at the Company's expo stand: AW101 Merlin, Mi-24, Mi-17, the M-346 Bielik training aircraft. There are also electrical harnesses designed and manufactured by WZL1, as well as examples of composite products.  WZL1 will also present a three-stage sub-orbital missile system (TRS) for research charges, created by the Consortium composed of: Military Institute of Armament Technology Nr 1 - leader, Military Institute of Armament Technology (WITU) and Special Production Plant (ZPS) Gamrat. The aim of the project is to lift 40 kg of cargo above the Kármán Line.

The Company enjoys a competitive advantage over its competition - modern management methods, technical and production facilities in line with global standards, several decades of industry experience and a well-prepared team of specialists.

The Company has kept developing,  for several years, the WZL1 infrastructure has been modernized. Only recently, new facilities have been added to the Company's stock: an airline hangar, a production hall, a landing field adapted to work at night, and a Research and Development Centre with a Non-destructive Testing Center. There are plans to introduce a Lean Management system that improves production processes. This makes it possible for the Company to maintain a stable and strong market position and fulfil all obligations, including those relating to national programs in which WZL1 participates, such as CSAR ZOP, WIZJER, WISŁA, KRUK.

During the gala, other accolades were bestowed, including the Special Award of the Minister of Development and Technology, the Award of the President of Targi Kielce and awards for the arrangement of the expo stand.

On the third day of the International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce, the cooperation agreement between the Polish Armaments Group and the Metrology Cluster was signed. The signing act by the president of Targi Kielce, Doctor Andrzej Mochoń and PGZ president Sebastian Chwałek.

The South Korean Hanwha Defense and Polish Armaments Group have signed a memorandum setting out the partnership principles for production, servicing, life cycle costs and future development of K9 self-propelled howitzers, infantry fighting vehicles and multiple rocket launchers. The memorandum was signed on the second day of the Targi Kielce MSPO.
