Jazz concert - the Świętokrzyska Orchestra at Targi Kielce on Saturday, September 13th! [admission, access, and parking]
As Włodek Kiniorski recalls, the Świętokrzyska Orchestra concert over 20 years ago accompanied the inauguration of the Targi Kielce Jazz Festival Memorial to Miles and the unveiling of the world's first monument to Miles Davis next to the Kielce Cultural Centre.
– Now we're back! And with a fantastic line-up, we will play folk jazz, steeped in the magic of a misty fir forest. Undoubtedly, groove, jazz, electronics and our roots are a part of the roster! We emerge in the oldest mountains in Europe, announces Kinior. – It's hard to describe, but worth listening to.
The stage of the Targi Kielce Congress Centre features the leader Włodek Kiniorski (saxophone, flutes, djembe), Henryk Gembalski (violin), Anna Rutkowska (marimba, keyboard instruments), Rafał Gęborek (trumpet), Marcin Gęborek (alto saxophone), Radek Nowakowski (whip, percussion, performance), Mario Matysek (bass guitar), Andrzej Chochół (guitar), Tomasz Dąbrowski (drums), and Jan Dąbrowski (trumpet).
- The band is unique; their concerts, and there weren't many of them, are massive gigs. I invite you, especially since this is a rare opportunity! – says Andrzej Mochoń, president of Targi Kielce and one of the initiators of the Targi Kielce Jazz Festival Memorial to Miles.
