Requirements regarding steel used for plastics processing and manufacturing  are very restrictive. Materials used for the tools and moulds must be machinable and abrasion resistant; this must be complemented with a high dimensional stability. There requirements translate into production economy and high quality of the surface of details manufactured. New developments will be showcased at the May's  International Fair of Plastics and Rubber Processing PLASTPOL at the expo stand of SCHMOLZ + BICKENBACH Group. The exhibitor will put on show a whole range of solutions in tool steels.

The Group's in-house produced materials are a subject to the optimal production process in order to meet the tools and moulds manufacturers' needs. One of the tool steel production branches is high-hardness steel; ease to process and ideal for injection moulds production. Steel Formadur  ®  320 is used for the efficient yet precise machining of complex moulds used for the production of, inter alia, automotive parts such as dashboards, bumpers and spoilers. The D Hall will host SCHMOLZ + BICKENBACH specialists from Myslowice factory as well as representatives of the Deutsche Edelstahlwerke GmbH smelter. A full range of services provided will be presented at the expo and complemented with technical support and advisory services. In addition to the mould-production steel, SCHMOLZ + BICKENBACH Poland will showcase at the PLASTPOL a whole product and service assortment including abrasion resistant steels for cold work, high-speed steels and hot work steels. In order to ensure swift and shortest possible time delivery, the company's warehouse in Myslowice has a wide range of tool steels in stock.
