It has become the tradition of the International Fair of Public Transport that the trade fair is preceded with the IGKM (Economic Chamber of Municipal Transport) Conference. The event held by the TRANSEXPO co-organiser is scheduled a day before the expo officially opens.

This year’s seminar has been held under the banner of “Municipal transport as the element of the National Programme for Development of Low-Emission Economy”. The conference theme addresses the questions of the National Municipal Policy, the CHALLENGE project, mobility management issues as well as support for municipal transport services in cities’ transport policies. It also tackles the problems of municipal and urban transport energy efficiency improvement and emission reduction through public transport operators’ actions, new construction development and provision of bus equipment which enhances low-emissions.

The meeting brings together top-class specialists, including Alain Flausch, Secretary General of the. International Association of Public Transport (UITP), representatives of government institutions, municipal transport operators from all over Poland, higher education institutions as well as public transport stock producers.
