Silkeborg defeated in the match with Vive Targi Kielce in the European Champions League
And the first victory in the Champions League 2012/2013 is a fact! Poland’s Champions played a very good match and had a smooth win over the Danish Silkeborg. Sławomir Szmal was the soul of the Kielce team and had a whole series of perfect interventions. It was also an outstanding match for Ivan Cupić; in the Legions Hall Cupić was the top scorer of the match.
The Kielce fans’ support is also worth highlighting – it was also noticed during the press conference by the guest team coach and Bogdan Wenta. Thank you for your whole-heart support.
The EHF mention for one of the round’s best goals goes to Zeljko Musa. The goal was scorred in the 17th minute of the match wit the 7:5 score for the host team. The circle runner from Croatia grabbed the ball in one hand, turned Rasmus Lauge round and scored a magnificent goal. As the result Lauge had a two-minute penalty. In the top seven of the Velux EHF Champions League there are Sławomir Szmal and Ivan Cupić.
