Enex expo: Windmills - are they powerful enough? New farms in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship
- The turbine has arrived in Malkowice. Now it is to be assembled and installed; we will see the first results perhaps on Tuesday - said Marcin Adamczyk, mayor of the Bogoria commune.
The first plans to build a wind farm in the Bogoria commune date back to 2005, the then-mayor and the council adopted a draft spatial development plan which allowed for farms construction. In 2016, the municipal authorities changed this plan to allow the construction of a power plant composed of 10 generating units. Work began in August 2020, now the project is entering its decisive phase. Windmills will be erected in the villages of Malkowice, Ceber, Gorzków, Przyborowice, Specjlice, Wysoki Duże, Pęcławice Górne and Witowice. - All these locations have been selected in such a way that they are at least half a kilometre away from the buildings - explains Marcin Adamczyk.
The investment is carried out by the company Farma Wiatrowa Bogoria, which has been acquired by the Portuguese company EDPR. This international capital company has been operating in the energy sector for years. The value of the entire project may be as high as PLN 150 million, and one windmill is to generate about 70-100 thousand per year income, according to estimates. Additionally, the commune will charge an annual fee for placing technical infrastructure devices not related to the needs of road management or the needs of road traffic.
