Finals of the nationwide competition staged at the KIELCE BIKE-EXPO

The Cyclists-Friendly Commune Competition finals, the campaign organized by the Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Association PTTK saw its resolution at the 5th, jubilee edition of International Fair of Bicycle Industry KIELCE BIKE-EXPO.  The competition's main objective is to promote safe cycling forms and the disseminate the broadly defined idea of cycling. This is also a chance to publicise the information about bicycle-friendly, local government units that create the best conditions for the sustainable cycling development.

 The jury panel comprised Maciej Rosinski - the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, Rudolf   Borusiewicz - Association of Polish Counties, Marek Tobias - Polish Tourist Organisation and Jolanta Śledzińska - Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Association PTTK; by its resolution 12 certificates and 4 awards have been presented.

Rural and municipal communes - range from 15 to 20 thousand residents

Sulęcin Lubuskie Voivodeship

Rural communes - range from 10 to 15 thousand residents

Distinctions have been awarded to:

Kalety Silesia Voivodeship (municipality of up to 10 thousand inhabitants);

Kołobrzeg - Zachodniopomorskie Voivodeship (municipality of up to 50 thousand inhabitants);

Rumia - Pomoerania Voivodeship (municipality of up to 50 thousand inhabitants);

Rzeczniów Mazovia Voivodeship (rural commune of up to 5 thousand inhabitants).
