AIR POLLUTION DISCUSSED DURING THE ECOTECH EXHIBITION
Air pollution is one of the main ecological problems for today's world which become an immense, global threat to the environment we all live in. Air pollution is composed of gaseous and dust substances. The most dangerous of these are: sulphur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, ozone and dust. These substances are released to the atmosphere as a result of exhaust emissions from vehicles and combined heat and power plants as well as industrial plants, chemical plants, landfills and raw materials, refineries, foundry plants and cement plants.
The presentation which will be held in Targi Kielce within the scope of the 20th EKOTECH edition includes lectures and discussion about:
- air pollution sources and types - atmospheric air - air in residential premises,
- global adverse phenomena related to air pollution (smog, acid rains, ozone hole, greenhouse effect),
- the impact of the contained harmful substances on human body and the environment,
- the ways to counteract the excessive emission of pollutants on a global and local scale.
The Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship's Marshal's Office is one of the conference organisers.
