The opening ceremony of the trade fair devoted to rural tourism and agro-tourism was given the splendour by excellent guests - Andrzej Hałasiewicz PhD representing the Office of the President of the Republic of Poland as the President has granted the honorary patronage to the AGROTRAVEL trade fair; the minister Katarzyna Sobierajska, the undersecretary of state at the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, and the minister Andrzej Butra, the undersecretary of state at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Dr Hałasiewicz who addressed the guests on behalf of the President, said; “The trade fairs like the ones we take part in, provide the answer to the challenges, needs, questions and transformations Poland’s rural areas have to face. Rural areas are constantly changing and evolving – this is the place which demonstrates the results of these changes and allows to experience the tradition at the same time”

This is the forth time when Targi Kielce is the venue for the most colourful, the most joyful and the tastiest event of the trade fair season – the AGROTRAVEL trade fair is a kind of festivity which brings together cultural and landscape heritage of Europe’s villages and at the same time it is the chance to relax and to find enjoyment, to become familiar with folklore and rituals, with habits and everyday life experiences and rural traditions. This is all accompanied by promotion of local and regional culinary products.

This year’s edition of the International Fair of Rural and Agricultural Tourism AGROTRAVEL has brought together 140 exhibitors from home and abroad (Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Lithuania).
