The strongest, most loyal, extremely fit and sturdy - these just a few qualities carrier-pigeons need to demonstrate. From 9 to 11 January pigeon-breeders will proudly present their achievements at one of Poland's most important events.  The National Exhibition of Carrier Pigeons is held for the sixty-fifth time.

Almost 1700 winged beauties have flown "fly in" to Kielce from all corners of Poland. At the exhibition, the jury panel will select 41 pigeons which will then represent Poland at the Pigeon Olympiad in Budapest It has been revealed that the Świętokrzyskie region will be represented by the three most impressive specimens, including marathon champion from Pińczów. The pigeon is estimated to be 20,000 euros worth.  This pigeon is capable of covering the distance from 100 to 1400 km.

The exhibition is organized by the Polish Association of Carrier Pigeons and the Polish Association of Carrier Pigeons - Kielce District. The event programme will include the Poland's Champions in the General Championship and Champions in particular categories for 2014 awarding ceremony.
