Description
Our works have reached the hands of, among others, Pope John Paul II, Benedict XVI, Pope Francis, and Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone.
At Drapikowski Studio, sculptures, monuments, and other commissioned works are also created for institutions and private individuals. Projects have been carried out for crowned heads of state, including the Queen of Belgium, the King of Spain, Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, and the King of Bhutan.
Mariusz Drapikowski founded the studio in 1984, and for the past twenty years, he has been running it together with his son Kamil.
Unique works created here include the dresses for the Icon of Our Lady of Częstochowa: the amber and diamond robe (2005) and the "Dress of Gratitude, Love, Suffering, and Hope" (2010). In 2017, a crystal monstrance was made for Medjugorje, as well as a Marian monstrance for the Basilica in Fatima, created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the apparitions.
Many works have also been made for the Holy Land, including: the “Star of Peace” in the Grotto of the Nativity in Bethlehem, crosses in the Basilica of the Nations in Jerusalem and on Calvary in the Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre in the Chapel of the Franks. We also created tabernacles for the Sanctuary of the Transformation of Bread in Tabgha and Ain Karim at St. John’s.
For several years, Drapikowski Studio has been creating adoration altars for shrines on all continents, as tangible signs of an initiative to promote prayer for peace in the world.
This project is called: “12 Stars in the Crown of Mary, Queen of Peace” and is led by the association Comunità Regina della Pace, co-founded by Mariusz and Kamil Drapikowski.
The first adoration altar was made in 2009 and is located in Bethlehem, Palestine. Subsequent adoration altars were created for Oziornoje in Kazakhstan, Kibeho in Rwanda, Yamoussoukro in Ivory Coast, Namyang in South Korea, and Niepokalanów in Poland.
The goal of our artistry is to allow the viewer, through the beauty of art, to perceive what is immaterial and spiritual.
We therefore invite you to the SacroExpo fair, where for the first time the adoration altar created for the church in Kristianstad, Sweden, will be presented. This piece, measuring nearly 5 meters in length and rich in symbols drawn from the Gospel, will invite the faithful to adore the Blessed Sacrament in the first "Star on the Mantle of Mary" being created on the Scandinavian Peninsula.
