POLSECURE 2023 - a very successful expo

polsecure-2023 POLSECURE Expo expanded the Targi Kielce calendar only last year. Considering the expo-related facts and figures, the new show has made waves! Last year, the exhibition space slightly exceeded 3,000 square meters; this year, the exhibition grew by over 100%. The expo floor size reached nearly 6,500 square meters. The exhibition hosted over 5,000 visitors.

POLSECURE was also appreciated outside our country. In 2022 the expo hosted only exhibitors from Poland and Germany, this year's show featured companies from as many as 7 countries: Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Israel, Germany, the United Kingdom, and of course Poland. In addition, the exhibition hosted 36 delegations from 27 countries:  Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Spain, Israel, South Korea, Lithuania, Latvia, Malta, Moldova, Germany, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Rwanda, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine, USA, Hungary, UK, Italy and the representatives of Europol and FRONTEX.   Polsecure time offers an excellent opportunity to see the offer of companies specialising in the production of special equipment, personal protective equipment, rescue equipment, communication systems, command and control software. Polsecure is also a golden opportunity to exchange experiences and talks about the real needs of uniformed services.

The expo began with the official opening ceremony attended by many distinguished guests, including the Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Interior and Administration, Bartosz Grodecki and Inspector General Jarosław Szymczyk, Police Commander in Chief together. Ivan Vyhivskyi, head of the National Police of Ukraine, also spoke at the opening ceremony. After the ceremony, the guests, including foreign delegations, visited the exhibition.

POLSECURE knowledge pack - the two international conferences

polsecure-2023 On the first day,  the experts attended the international conference organised by the Police Headquarters as a part of the Polsecure expo in Targi Kielce. The session discussed the DVI teams activities in various countries and methods of identification at disaster sites. The panel featured experts from the Central Forensic Laboratory of the Police. The international conference on "Confidence in identifying victims - the role of the DVI team at mass disasters sites"  started by the attempt to answer the questions: what are the DVI teams, why is the identification of victims is very important and what is the activity of the teams that work to identify victims in different countries, e.g. in Ukraine, Malta and Great Britain.

The second day of the conference was devoted to "Innovation and building human capital to fight cybercrime". The panel raised the important issue - innovation development and building human capital in the context of cybercrime combat. Effective threat prevention requires law enforcement agencies' constant creativity complemented with innovative tools and procedures. These goals can be achieved, however, when an effective strategy of developing highly competent staff is in place. The police staff ougth to be capable of facing on the most difficult challenges.

aThe Polsecure International Fair also included the conference devoted to the Border Guard activities on the border with Belarus and Ukraine;  this was the first such event organised by the Border Guard. The conference was attended by, among others, Frontex Deputy Executive Director Uku Sarekanno who said that migration has been used as a weapon before. However, mitigation was not the obvious and worrying means as is the case of that Lukashenko's regime. In the opinion of the deputy head of Frontex, Europe may also face similar threats in the future.

Dynamic shows presentations - an essential element of the police expo

polsecure-2023 Dynamic show presentations always catch the guests' interest. The representatives of various uniformed services put the best foot forward in live presentations in controlled conditions. It was no different this year. The most modern equipment and skills of Border Guard and Police employees as well as security experts were presented in a special block. There were also musical accents.

The performance of the Border Guard Representative Orchestra began the block of shows on the first day of POLSECURE. Targi Kielce's outdoor exhibition grounds hosted the Police Headquarters presenting a Motorcycle Honorary Assistance show. A spectacular escort of policemen on two-wheelers - not only did the show motorcycling skills, but also the way to protect the most important people in the country. Dynamic demonstration of the Border Guard Security Department and its service dog -  dogs have been the Border Guard units' asset for years. Dogs are used both in patrols and in special operations. Presentations of the most modern equipment and security systems are an important element of the dynamic shows -  one of them was presented by the KRD company. KRD was founded in 1967, deals with production of safety glass. The strength test of KasiGlas panes was the manufacturers' argument to show their products' superiority over such security measures as, for example, grilles. Drones detection, identification and neutralisation system were presented by Transactor Security. A wide range of specialised equipment included e.g. innovative systems for neutralising IED/EOD threats, detection equipment for detecting bombs, and biological-chemical and radiological threats.

They are also passionate about preparations to respond in difficult times. The meeting featured experts sharing their skills, knowledge and experience in threats. The GOTOWI.ORG campaign provides information on how to prepare for crises and survive despite the difficulties.
