Smart Nanotechnologies S.A. is involved in research and development activities aimed to develop, manufacture, and sell innovative chemical products and components based on nanomaterials. Our ambition is to launch products and solutions that can potentially establish new standards (e.g. in medicine, veterinary medicine, construction, transport, industrial technologies, and many others) by adding new functional properties to existing products for daily use (e.g. paints, tiles, grouts, wood products, steel products, polymer products, textiles, etc.). These properties include protection against the growth of microorganisms, increased hydrophobicity or hydrophilicity. We are also interested in improving existing properties by, for example, changing electrical or thermal conductivity. This is possible with nanotechnology. Key competences of Smart Nanotechnologies S.A. include the ability to use knowledge obtained from nanotechnology and materials engineering to develop new desired product properties, with our speciality in this regard being products for microbiological protection based on metal nanoparticles. Our everyday life is to develop biocidal properties (including virucidal ones) of wall coverings, floors, tops, seats, and other objects that we come into direct contact with on a daily basis.
