Description
Kerafol is a German company manufacturing thermally conductive materials. Headquarter, production, R&D and labs are located in Eschenbach near Nuremberg. Materials are based on components sourced on local market too. Product range consists of thermal tapes, gap pads, thermal greases, thermally conductive adhesives including liquid forms, self-curing thermal gels and thermally conductive and electrical insulating granulates. Conversion center allows to cut the products to customized shape specified by customer. Kerafol works with customers on global level, mainly automotive, industrial, medical, military, aerospace, electronics, consumer or lighting market.

Due to the low viscosity compared to other manufacturers, the Gap filler liquid from KERAFOL® _excellent for potting and dispensing and thus for stress-free "wet on wet" installation for the component. The Gap Filler Liquids are ceramic-filled two-component silicone elastomers without solvents. The new product range from Kerafol is characterized by its wide range of thermal conductivity, high degree of insulation and its different compression behavior.

The KERATHERM ® thermally conductive foils have a smooth surface so that no air pockets impede the heat transfer from the component to the cooling profile. The material compensates for microscopically small bumps in the contact surfaces and thus leads to an improvement in the thermal contact surface and thus improved heat dissipation.

The new series of injection molding granules allows to achieve 3D heat transfer and at the same time high electrical insulation. In addition, electrical components can be completely encapsulated with thermally conductive materials using the overmoulding process. In this way, electronic components can not only be cooled, but also protected from dust and mechanical influences - a real alternative to conventional potting materials due to the fast process time.

At KERATHERM ® SOFTTHERM ® films, also known as gap pads or gap fillers, is a group of highly elastic ceramic-filled foils. They are characterized by their extremely good compressibility, their optimal formability with good thermal conductivity and good electrical properties.
These films are particularly suitable for compensating for larger component unevenness and for pressure-sensitive applications.
